Who we are

Nameworm (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website and application available at https://www.nameworm.ai/ (the “Service”).

1) What data we collect via Google Sign-In

When you sign in with Google, we request only the basic OAuth scopes:

  • openid, email, profile

From these scopes we may receive: your Google user ID, email address, display name, and profile image. Purpose: authentication and account identification only (sign in, keep you logged in, show your account name/avatar). We do not use these data for advertising or unrelated profiling.

2) Other data you create in the Service

If you use the app, we store the content you create (e.g., briefs, generated names, settings) so the Service works for your account.

3) How we use your data

  • Authenticate you and maintain your session.
  • Deliver and improve the core functionality of the Service.
  • Provide support if you contact us.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share Google user data for advertising.

4) Sharing with third-party processors

We may use trusted service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, storage, logging/monitoring, email delivery) to operate the Service. These providers only process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards (e.g., confidentiality and data-processing terms). We do not grant them rights to use your data for their own purposes.

5) Retention & deletion

We retain your data while your account remains active and as necessary to operate the Service. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@nameworm.ai. After verifying ownership, we will delete associated personal data within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days), unless we are required to keep some data for security, legal, or compliance reasons.

6) Security

We protect data in transit via HTTPS and apply access controls to limit who can access production systems. While no method is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to help safeguard your information.

7) Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted at /privacy with the updated date.

9) Contact

For privacy questions or requests, please email hello@nameworm.ai.

Compliance note: We use Google OAuth data in line with Google’s API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use). We only request basic scopes (openid, email, profile) and use them solely for sign-in and account identification.
